Near Miss Between Russia and USN in China Sea

It is obvious that the spin doctors that put out the "news" watch social media to see how it is playing in Peoria (as the ad men used to say).

My husband heard on NPR yesterday morning that the US ship was anchored in the Philippine Sea and those nasty Russians came up out of nowhere to almost attack them.

By the time I heard the story, both ships were moving and the Russian ship was coming up too fast, so the US captain had to put his ship in reverse. They showed a picture and there was wake behind the Russian ship. Wake, I tell you, WAKE! And yes, you could see wake. The ship appeared to have been on a straight course, and then swerved to miss the US ship.
But they just kept repeating that the wake proved that the Russians were Evil.

Eventually, US Navy veterans got onto social media to explain the rules of the sea, and the proper procedures when two ships pass in the day, etc.

And now I see that the propaganda has been dropped, at least from the most obvious outlets. Maybe Peoria, as well as the rest of the US, has too many veterans for obvious provocations to go unremarked upon?

And maybe too many people know how the US swaggers around the world to believe the Official Story.

Hi Paula. Kerri here. MoA had a good take on the incident. Not surprisingly I suppose, the content has been disappeared from my FB page. Here it is:

The content of the MoA? Or the "news story" of the Mighty Wurlitzer?
It is amazing that anyone would believe this nonsense, with the history of US aggression, the history of media lies, and the ever-changing story.
In one day, the story went from the US was stopped to the US was in motion and had to throw the ship into reverse to they were both going forward and the US had to swerve.
One day-three stories-AND the picture they showed to prove their point makes it obvious which ship had to swerve, the Russian one.

Kerri here. Will identify as KB in the future.

MoA's content is still available, thank the goddess; rather it was my post of the content that was not available to me. Yet now it has magically reappeared, lol. You'll have to tell me re: the Mighty Wurlitzer as I don't partake and haven't gone through my FB newsfeed yet to catch up. :)

And agreed: how anyone can believe the nonsense the PTB dole out as 'news', yet they do. I am reminded of how many friends shared the 'news' that NK had executed an officer by gunpoint, only to have him reappear publicly days later. Yet those peeps NEVER seem to share the truth when it surfaces as it eventually does. Best just to assume the 'news' is lying from the outset.

I agree. Assume that it is lying, and believe that the opposite of what they say is actually true.
The only reason to watch, listen to or read the imperial media is to see what line our owners are pushing to we proles.
