They are telling us that Patient Zero has been identified in Colorado. Okay, then. Get a crack team of ace reporters out there to grill the crack team of skilled investigators working on tracking down the contacts of this 20 year old man who has never been to England, but now has the Scary New Variant of covid.
How do they know? What test did they do to find out that he didn't have ordinary covid? Are they doing this test on everyone, or they just picked some random dude from Colorado to test? What are the differences in the virus that allows them to confidently assert that it is different from all the other virions?
Where did he get it? It shouldn't be that difficult for crack teams of highly skilled investigators to track down all his contacts to find out, since it's only one guy and he hasn't been anywhere but Colorado. Right? How are we going to stop the spread if we subscribe to the spontaneous generation theory that they seem to be pushing, at least, up until now?
How do they know it's ''more contagious''? How are they so sure that the vaccine they just rolled out also works on this new variant?
Inquiring minds want to know.
