Media Hysteria About Tanks

Back in 2020 the media and squawking heads went nuts over the "we need ventilators" narrative.

That was all they could talk about incessantly. They hounded Trump for being the president of Not Enough Ventilators and lauded Cuomo for supposedly coming up with ventilators in New York.

Meanwhile, on March 31st, before this propaganda circus started, I had watched a video of a doctor in New York who headed a covid unit and he was speaking out about his puzzlement that ventilators weren't working on the very weird lung disease that covid caused. It wasn't like the usual pneumonia that he was used to seeing and the ventilators seemed like they were worthless if not damaging.

Plus, as a nurse I knew that just wheeling a ventilator onto a floor didn't solve anything. You have to have oxygen hookups and electricity and a doctor to intubate and order the settings and a RT to manage the machine and a nurse to manage the patient. You have to have drugs for sedation and monitors to make sure the patient remains stable.

WTF was this "all we need are ventilators" bs?

(Followed later, of course, by test and trace "With enough PCR tests we will save the country") bs.

It reminded me of the Reagan years when they told us "With enough shovels" (to dig holes to hide in) we could survive nuclear war.

Anyway, we have a rerun here. Now it's "We need tanks! With enough tanks the Ukies can overrun Crimea" propaganda.

Well, I don't know anything about tanks, but Brian Berletic does and he has explained that you have to have a tank crew with the tanks. The crew has to be trained over some months and they need to know how to work with each other, and there has to be a maintenance crew that knows how to fix the tanks and they need fuel. And also just having tanks doesn't mean anything without backup.

So this is ventilators redux, except for instead of excoriating Trump they are excoriating Germany. It's a full 24/7 Minutes of Hate directed at not the usual suspect.

And what is the US going to do if Germany doesn't supply the tanks? Blow up the pipelines again?

I think it would be hilarious if Germany quit NATO. I know it won't happen but it would be epic to see.

How much abuse are they supposed to take?
